Jane Young

Jane is a family law specialist, dealing predominantly with divorce and financial settlements on divorce.

Jane has represented a wide and diverse range of clients and handles cases involving high-net worth individuals as well as those cases involving more modest marital assets.

Jane also advises on civil partnerships and relationship breakdown in cases where the parties are not married as well as children issues (private children law), dealing with cases where parents may not agree on such issues as Contact and Residence.

Jane is dual qualified as a solicitor and barrister (non-practising) and was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2007.

Jane seeks to achieve a positive outcome for each individual client and her focus is on problem-solving and being proactive. She is mindful of the interplay between the legal, financial and personal aspects of a case and is well known for her empathy and client care skills. Jane is committed to approaching cases in a non-confrontational way, guiding clients through negotiations with a firm focus on settlement, whilst at the same time being able to take a robust stance where necessary.

In her spare time Jane enjoys the Great Outdoors and most sports and she is passionate about horses. Jane also loves good food and wine and spending time with her children. She has two sons, the eldest has now graduated from university and works in Manchester city centre and the youngest is studying for his A levels at the local grammar school.
